Axis AR335 MPI (standard)

The 5.7L AR335 is bored out to 101.6mm with a stroke of 88.39mm. This V8 is based on a GM Vortec 5700 with 9.4:1 compression. The exhaust is Indmar’s exclusive ETX configuration and the AR335 offers Sequential Port Fuel Injection (SFI). The brain of this engine is Delphi's most advanced water resistant ECM (Electronic Control Module) the MEFI-5 hardware/software system, custom calibrated by Indmar. The AR335 also includes Indmar’s ETC system, Electronic Throttle Control with Cruise.

Axis Raptor 400 Engine (CAT and Salt Series available)

We understand that whether you are at altitude or just want to completely load the boat down with weight, you may need more horsepower. Keeping with the same styling and simplicity, we have worked with Indmar to bring you the Axis Raptor 400. This engine brings you plenty of power when you need it most. We have dressed the engine with the same flame arrestor and chrome exhaust that the AR335 has. This engine is a great upgrade to all customers that plan to be known for the biggest wake on the lake.

Vandall Edition Package

Randall “the Vandall” Harris is known for being a great guy with a powerful story about his career in the wake industry. Three notable aspects of his personality include his complete west coast style on and off the water, his now-famous skeleton tattooing, as well as the amplitude that he rides. We’ve tried to capture this with our new Vandall Edition Axis A22. Not only does this boat have a unique graphic scheme but it comes complete with every option that Randall himself chooses to have on his boats. The options are: Vandall Edition graphics, high altitude prop, pop up cleats, flip-up driver’s bolster, swivel driver’s seat, battery isolator switch, ChillAX seat option, docking lights, under-seat lighting, bimini top, custom cover, swivel wakeboard racks, the new Tatami carpet insert, our new Deck-Trac non-skid pads, Stereo Option II, Plug N Play Ballast upgrade, AutoSet Wedge, depth finder, heater, and even the tricked trailer package! We have discounted the options to create maximum value out of this package but the Vandall Edition must be ordered complete, no removing of options or changes.

Salt Edition

Skybox Slide Seating (standard)

The Skybox Slide. More fun than line-dancing, but just as social. The Team at Axis Wake Research has analyzed the riding lifestyle and built the A22 to accommodate the rider as well as those along for the ride. No more contorting your body and straining your neck to see the rider when you’re in the back seat. Axis has designed Skybox seating to slide from the rear of the lounge to the center so those in the back of the bus can face the action or kick back for a cruise. It’s their choice. This Axis-exclusive seating configuration transforms to fit the riding situation and gives you the opportunity to place passenger weight where you need it to fine-tune wake.

Wakebox 900 Ballast System (standard)

The Wakebox 900 Ballast System is included in each A22 and is the only hard tank, sub-floor wake enhancement system available in the price-point class. The Wakebox is comprised of three hard ballast tanks mounted below the floor in the rear and center of the boat, totaling 900 pounds. These tanks are filled and drain with a set of switches at the dash so the driver can customize the weight based on passenger positioning.

Swivel Seat

For those drivers who want to join the crowd, Axis Wake Research offers a swiveling driver’s seat that rotates as much as 180 degrees towards the lounge.

ChillAX Center Flip Up Seats

Sit up straight. Axis Wake Research is just as concerned with your posture as your mother was. The difference is we want to make sure you are able to relax and enjoy the boat or are in the perfect position to see a rider going-off in tow. Enter optional ChillAX Walk-through seating. The cushions in the walk-through leading to the bow are split and supported with shocks so they can be pulled upright when the situation demands back support. This available feature creates an additional rear-facing observer seat and another front facing seat in the bow. The great thing is when this seating is not in use it masquerades as multi-density, G&T Marine vinyl covered comfort.

Fiberglass Swimstep (standard)

The Axis fiberglass swimstep is standard on the A22. This platform is designed to follow the lines of the boat and aid in a rider’s preparation. The tapered swimstep walls will corral your board and other gear while you’re getting ready to ride. The board-friendly matt acts as a buffer between your board and the fiberglass of the platform. It also keeps you from slipping on a wet step.

Above-engine Bin (standard)

The A22 is as intuitive in its design as it is accommodating with its storage. The riding lifestyle is social and with a crew of people comes a boat load of gear. The team at Axis Wake Research has built tunnels of storage throughout the boat, but some items require small spaces. The above engine storage would otherwise be wasted space in any other value-class boat. Axis has chosen to design a custom-fit ABS plastic bin that drops into a frame above the engine to store small, frequently accessed items that could get lost in the expanse of the rear storage areas. Ropes, wet suits, rash guards, vests, towels, etc. are great candidates for a spot in the Above-engine Storage Bin. And thanks to this storage areas proximity to the engine these items can be gently warmed to take the chill off a cool day.

Insulated Cooler Bag (standard)

We know you have to bring those cold beverages to the boat in something anyway, so why not bring them to the boat in the same cooler that fits in the boat? The A22 comes complete with an Axis-branded insulated cooler bag to make the toting of drinks and snacks convenient.

Deck-Trac Non Skid

The optional Deck-Trac non skid package consists of nine different pads with Axis branding in helpful locations. Whether it's getting on or off shore from the bow, or preventing scratches on the swimstep... these do the job and look great.

AXray Kick Panels (standard)

Multi-purpose Axis design is present in every piece of the boat. The AXray Kick Panels add a cool-factor to the lounge with a blacked-out look and Axis-etched branding, but these panels also offer exterior storage visibility so you know where your gear is even before you need it. Add the optional Under-seat Colored LEDs and the kick panel cut-outs release a patterned glow begging for a disco ball and a fog machine. Look, function and style all centered on you, the rider.

Locking Glove Box (standard)

The Locking glove box provides nearly 2 cubic feet of secure storage for your personal belongings. Wallets, cell phones, glasses, iPods, your valuables are safe here.

Storage LED Lighting (standard)

Standard in every A22, the LED storage and side panel lighting is bright white. Emitting light from specifics locations, the A22 is designed to illuminate every corner of the storage areas including the cup holder-filled side panels.

Docking Lights

Axis docking lights are made up of 9 high power, bright white LEDs. This illumination is focus at dock-level for those late night returns to the marina.

Under Seat LED Lighting

The glow of the optional under-seat lighting will reflect the look on your face. You will be beaming when you flip that rocker switch and see the interior of your boat light up in red, blue or white. With the flip of a switch and the addition of this option your A22 goes from wake boat to show piece.

Removable Carpet

When you’re out on the water you want the comforts of home, but when you return home you want the clean-up that goes along with a day on the lake to be quick and easy. The removable carpet insert from Axis makes this dream a reality. When you’re in the boat it offers the comfort of plush feeling rubber backed marine carpet. When the day is done, simply snap out the carpet and hose off the floor of your A22. Then snap your carpet back in and you’re ready for another outing. It’s that easy.

Sony Splashproof Stereo

The available Sony CDX-H905IP Stereo follows the alternative theme of the Axis A22 with a unique look and a ton of features crammed into a rider-functional head unit. The high-contrast splashproof face of the stereo allows for excellent viewing in direct sun. You can even switch between red or blue illumination to match your boat. A marine CD receiver with a built-in amplifier (17 watts RMS/52 Peak X 4 channels) this deck spins burned CDs populated with MP3, WMV or AAC files as well as a standard music CDs for hours of tunes. The Axis Sony Stereo also offers iPod® connectivity and control with the included 3 meter iPod® cable.

MTX Thunder Marine Series Speakers

Specifically designed for harsh outdoor conditions and constant exposure to moisture the 6.5” Thunder Marine Speakers from MTX are as rugged as they are high performing. The Axis/MTX speaker is rated at 50 watts RMS and 100 watts Peak power. These speakers are designed with a polypropylene cone woofer and rubber surround. The incorporated tweeter is a 1” Teteron. The terminals are gold plated and the hardware stainless steel. It’s no wonder this speaker past a 500 hour test for durability and resistance to environment.

MTX 12" Thunder Marine Series Subwoofer

This sub woofer is engineered to perform at high quality levels and withstand the rigors of marine use. The Thunder Marine Series Subwoofer handles 200 watts RMS and 600 watts peak power. The impedance is single 4 ohms. This speakers is designed with a polypropylene cone woofer, rubber surround, gold plated terminals and stainless steel hardware. This speaker has passed the MTX 500-test and is one of the most durable subwoofers known to man.

Cruise Control (standard)

The Axis A22 motors off the line with speed control standard. Axis speed control can be set to respond to RPM or MPH and better yet, it’s easy to use. But easy doesn’t mean skimpy. This set-up welcomes the pull of a progressive cutting rider as well as a double-up loop. Axis speed control performs to extremes with making you work or it.

Shark Fin (standard)

A reverse dorsal design, the Shark Fin from Axis is stability and rock solid tracking. 60 square inches of surface area plunge deep into the water beneath the boat to hold a straight line even with a hard-cutting rider in tow. This fin also perpetuates sharp turns acting as a precise pivot-point.

FatAX Wakeboard Tower (standard)

The FatAX tower is appropriately named. This tower is fat, not in the hip urban sense, it’s really fat. The Tower hoop is made of oversized 3” tubing for quiet strength and a great look. The tower bases are billet aluminum and through bolted with backing plates beneath the deck to relieve stress. The base design is one-of-a-kind with stepped stylized voids engineered for form as well as function.

MTX Tower Thunder Marine Series Speakers

The Axis/MTX tower speaker is not just an elevated version of the 6.5” speaker, this sound hits like a bullet and looks like one too. The enclosures are sleek and sturdy with engineered heavy clamps and a tough hard exterior. Then there’s the sound, hard hitting enough to keep rockin’ even when you’re on the end of the rope. And still precise enough to compliment the entire stereo system inside the boat.

Plug N’ Play Ballast System

Opt for the Axis Plug N’ Play Ballast System and add up to 1275 pounds more to your A22 in the form of custom designed Fly High sacks plumbed into the boats bilge and water intake system with quick disconnect ports. The Plug N’ Play ballast makes a home on either side of the engine and in the bow. Each ballast location can be filled and drained independently at the dash. Axis offers all of this extra weight without compromising floor space and barely encroaching on your storage areas.

Auto-set Wedge

Looking for another 1000 pounds of displacement? Add the exclusive Axis Auto Set Wedge and you can bring your wake footprint to nearly 3200 pounds of displacement on top of the A22’s other available ballast. The Auto Set Wedge can be deployed through an access hatch in the standard fiberglass swim step. A simple pinch of the clips and the Auto Set Wedge is ready for wake-making. This reverse hydro-foil floats to the perfect displacement position and turns up the volume on your wake size. No ballast. No filling, No draining, Just wake.

The A22 Trailer is a tandem axle Boat Mate trailer with a torsion axle and disc brakes. The swing tongue allows for easy storage and the Fulton Dual Wheel F2 Jack provides effortless raising and lowering of the trailer.
